Student Activities and Athletics

Harrison Preparatory School offers a dynamic range of extracurricular activities through its after-school program, HPX (Harrison Prep Experience). Students can engage in various clubs that cater to diverse interests, including the Anime Club, Drama Club, Art Guild, Birding Team, Green Team, Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA), Black Student Union, Robotics, Technology Student Association, and Knowledge Bowl.

These clubs provide opportunities for students to socialize, explore their passions, and participate in competitions and community initiatives. Additionally, Harrison Prep hosts several nationally recognized honor societies such as the National Honor Society (NHS), National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), International Thespian Society, and Spanish Honor Society, promoting academic excellence and leadership among students.

While Harrison Prep does not offer its own after-school sports programs, students interested in athletics can participate in sports at their resident Clover Park School District schools based on their home address. Middle school students within the district have the option to join sports teams at Lochburn Middle School, while high school students can participate in athletics at their designated high schools. Families are responsible for arranging transportation to practices and games. For middle school students, Harrison Prep provides a study hall or HPX activities after school until they can proceed to their sports practices. High school students may use district transportation options or drive themselves with appropriate permissions.

Through its extensive extracurricular offerings and supportive policies for athletic participation, Harrison Preparatory School fosters a well-rounded educational experience that encourages students to develop their interests, leadership skills, and community engagement.
